I promise I'll try to do this once a month minimum now that NBA is mostly over for me. I can admit to being in action every single day since late August.

I originated MLB rsws and futures during the NBA all star game and played cards I think 3 of the 6 days off from hoops.

Everyday I would consider taking a day off, I would get reminded I have 2 weddings to pay for, a stock portfolio that looks like a six flags rollercoaster idea projection.

I had a good NBA season but it's all relative. Let's start with awards. I really don't pay attention to writers, others opinions and basically just have fun with this stuff. I don't enjoy betting nba futures after the year Marcus "f***ing Smart won DPOY.

Mvp is jokic. Nuggets are the wizards without him, look at point differential on/off court.

Coy is Atkinson. Give me a break with bickerstaff. Bickerstaff got bounced in round 1 with 44 wins, same team and Atkinson has them the 1 seed. Yes I have a good price preseason (ignore that!) it was the most impressive coaching job since 21-22.

DPOY- l don't understand why they can't just use metrics that show only +/- offensive eff per player when guarded by... Dort, dort and he basically throws your best scorer in jail.

MIP- Zubac what are we even talking about? Cade was #1 overall. Daniels great year playing a busted east, huge leap to get to that play in. Zu dominated in the West full of great bigs after being a after thought this past summer.

Clutch and GM of the year... Who gives a damn. Just give it to the dude who scores the most points in the clutch and Pelinka for just not asking too many questions while jumping around in glee.

Playoff predictions Indy deserves nothing and will get nothing again. Blew up a perfect system to get siakim and then don't extend Turner? Milwaukee in 6 despite a top 3 WOAT coach

Knicks over pistons... Does it even matter? Thibs played each starter 3k minutes this season, established zero depth and is a td dog to Boston (nothing new) and now Cleveland (entirely new and more dangerous)

Detroit gets to the playoffs for the first time in 5 years after tanking it's ass off since the bubble and Dumars gets hired away to Pels and then GM under him is to Sac?? If you hire these guys in 4 years of complete misery you can be a 5 seed with any luck in half a decade.

This whole league is cooked... You gotta laugh..

Utah deserves the 9th pick btw. If a team starts tanking pre Christmas, they deserve to get screwed in any and every way possible. I like how they're gonna build around markannen who has played 7 minutes of competitive basketball in the last 2 years and looked awful at every stop.

Denver over clips 6 games Love clip show. Wanted them to face GS not Prime Jokic who 29/10/8 vs zubac including a game he only played 19 minutes in. Murray healthy. Rooting too hard for Kwahi but Murray gets healthy and Jokic is all in... Pfft Just happy to go to a couple of the games and said I was there.

Lakers over minny in 5 Minnesota built a team to beat Jokic now they're screwed. Gave up half a decade of picks for Gobert who faces Luka, that's worked out great recently. Also why did Minnesota insist on getting nothing for reid if they're not gonna resign him? They're gonna be trading Edwards somewhere in the next 3 years I think, sad.

Gsw over houston but 7! Think Houstons length can really stop a lot of what golden state does and if kerr insists on using 11 man rotations, this series is super close.

Onto MLB. At some point the league is gonna have to do something about the Rockies and pirates. You cannot have 2 teams who are top 15 in revenue absolutely refusing to put money back into their teams. It's non sensible to the fans, the other owners and the league in general.

Rockies ownership was granted 5 billion to build a hotel, 12 restaurants around the stadium to get the all star game bid and they've signed 1 free agent which is a friend of the owner... Player Kris Bryant and owner Dick Monfort are a perfect example of how to turn a fan base completely off. That hotel is empty but it's all a free roll for the worst owner in MLB history.

Pirates have best pitcher prospect since Strausburg and have no intention of actually spending money to win.

Have we discussed the A's yet?? That's too sad for even me.

What's wrong with the Atlanta braves?? No I'm seriously asking you. Not sure I could have ever seen this coming. I know it's early but they could be completely out of it by all star break if this continues on much longer.

College football is in a uproar over Nico not attending spring practice and holding out for a better deal. He and his father are the villains...

Not the coach who makes 9m a season, not the program who gets 12 the% of a 3.9 billion TV deal.

I'm not saying Nico is right. I'm also suspicious that this is all but the norm now without the holding out part which is of course dumb as hell. I also don't think the price tag wasn't a good deal for the vols more than anything else. He was the 10th best QB in the SEC in a terrible year for QB play.

It's a sad state for college sports in general. The NCAA remains powerless because they don't want to ruin those checks from coming in while they do nothing to deserve anything from what I can tell.

On more positive news for College football 4 FCS coaches got FBS jobs and brought FCS stars with them. Win or lose if players are getting paid I want to see those guys who were at Idaho, SD st, ND st and Montana State get rewarded for playing for the love of the game.

I love the MAC and while it's declined in talent and intrigue the last few years, there is no way you can't feel great for a player who played in blizzards in front of crowds of 2k die hards getting a chance to play in a power 4 conference and get paid to do so.

Please enjoy the NBA playoffs and realize that this might be the best era of the NBA we will ever see. The cap raise and apron will make what I just alluded to with the Rockies and pirates a NBA product as well soon enough, Im afraid.
